This April 15th, 2010 John Stossel Show on Fox Business Channel. The show was all about taxes. If there is one thing I took away from this show is that I have become a convert and if there should be any form of tax (necessary evil), I’d rather be it a Fair Tax. Judge for yourself.

Compounding is one of the key forces when it comes to any saving and investing plan - but the reality is that paying, or not paying taxes, has a huge impact on what we compound to. And often we can save the taxes because governments want us to save for when we retire, or for when our incomes are lower.

Is it Fair to Put a Tax on Software?

twitter.com - If you didn’t already know, I currently live in Seattle. There’s a bill that’s currently in the Washington State Legislature that, if passed, will levy a tax on all software customizations done by businesses (at least, for now, those businesses residing in the state of Washington). You may not think this impacts you directly, but if other states (or governments in other countries) see it as a viable option, they may consider doing the same thing where you live. I spoke with Ken Myer, President and CEO of the WTIA, to find out more about this bill - and why it’s probably not the smartest thing for small businesses here. What are your thoughts?

OVER 100 MORE examples of Fox News Bias at www.youtube.com If you thought Fox News would try to be more accurate in its business programming where misreporting is more likely to have financial consequences, you’ll be disappointed by the false Republican talking point masquerading as news information I heard from Jonathan Hoenig, an Ayn Rand follower and author of “Greed is Good: The Capitalist Pig Guide to Investing,” who appeared on the Fox News business program “Cashin’ In” this weekend. The Fox News clips in this video come from the program “Cashin’ In” broadcast on March 13, 2010 (which I have not been able to find available online). The audio clip of Eric Westervelt’s National Public Radio story titled “Greek Workers Strike Over Austerity Plan” comes from the NPR webpage you can find at www.npr.org And, finally, the Social Security OASDI information about the limits on the amount of earnings subject to taxation for a given year that I show in this video comes from the webpage at www.socialsecurity.gov
